My name is Nell Ruiter and I unexpectedly ended up at the WGTF because I was spotted on Golf4All giving golf lessons to inexperienced players of my own accord. Because of my enthusiasm on the driving range and the 9-hole par 3 course, I was almost grabbed and asked if I wanted to take the golf teacher level 3 course. Of course I felt very honored because they saw potential in me and of course I immediately said yes. And I haven't regretted it for a second.

The WGTF started the training with a new group, at my location at Golf4All and from day 1 I found myself in an atmosphere of enthusiastic, eager to learn golfers. The group felt very close within a week. All the lessons and seminars that followed were just as educational as they were fascinating and also very enjoyable. Enthusiastic teachers and mutual involvement was and is very high. I have also not lacked guidance in practice. Likewise, having to complete an internship has taught and brought me a lot.

I interned at The Links Valley in Ermelo with two very experienced golf professionals who in turn also taught me the tricks of the trade. And because of how I got into it, with everything the WGTF had already given me and what I had mastered, they wanted to keep me there for independent assignments. I have grown enormously in my golf knowledge and I am grateful to everyone involved. Partly because of this enthusiasm, I even completed the NGF “commissioner 1” course. Because if, for example, I can teach Hcp 54 students, I also want to go through the entire process with them. This also includes the theory lessons and exams.

I am proud of myself, but for me the credit goes to the leadership of the WGTF, because they have inspired me to reach this level. And me, I feel like a golf ball with a beautiful swing. Fantastic!!!
